Every Adult Should Be a Professional

That every adult of working age should be a professional, is my perspective, and remains so. The world, in my view would be a much better place, if every adult found their purpose and contributed by offering the world their honed talent.

Being a professional, is about committing to excellence and having uncommon knowledge about your craft. It is about putting in your 10,000 hours and striving to be the best you can be in whatever endeavour you find yourself. It is about creating and sharing value. It is about rejecting mediocrity and being intentional about making a dent on the universe.

Gaining certifications are about allowing an independent party validate the investment you have made to become a professional. They provide the often required evidence of your skills and your commitment to a career path. They are in my opinion, good to have.

My earlier post went viral as it made a good number of people uncomfortable, so much so, that they started attacking my person. Anyone who does that, sadly, has a lot of growing up to do.

Disagreements are a normal part of life, how to disagree, while maintaining the dignity of both parties is a life skill.

I am happy that in the end, many were inspired to take action. Thank you for the opportunity.
