I was shocked yet deeply honoured to have received an outstanding achievement award at the recent Career Fair 3.0 by Interswitch Group. I was made to believe I was speaking on a panel session but beyond that, I received the biggest surprise of my career.
You see, I have come to crossroads so many times. Infact, I am at one right now. Where I just get tired and ask myself, is it worth it? I am tired of the stress…no net gain. You start to introspect and readjust your path and position your compass to a new north.
But alas! At the eleventh hour, maybe the twelveth, this honour I will forever cherish came out of the blue. Why do I cherish it? Because my interswitch experience has always had a special place in my heart, as Interswitch Group was easily the best work experience I ever had. I said this openly on stage without the slightest inkling that I would be receiving an award. Mitchell Elegbe, come rain, come shine, you remain my boss for life. Franklin Ali, as you have watered, you will also be watered. A massive thank you to you and your team for an inspiring event. I was late for another event because I was enjoying so much value.
I have received several awards, but you see this Interswitch award, it will not be on the shelf with others, but in a special place created for it, hung on my wall. Somewhere I will see it and remember the ‘why’ of some of the ‘suffering’ I experience behind closed doors.
I really do not know what to say beyond thank you from the depth of my heart. Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you, to every single being that has made my journey in life meaningful, purposeful and of impact. For my God for considering me worthy. It has been a testing year so far, but the God I serve knows my heart and is at work as always in my life.
With this, I will keep giving…I am motivated to do more for the ecosystem of HR, for my generation and beyond.
Thank you Interswitch Group for giving me and so many others hope.
For inspiring us all to do more even at a time when things look bleak…everyone of us needed that ray of light received last Saturday.
We all could do with some inspiration.
The ripple effect will shock you.
Thank you.
Thank God.
