Good afternoon Madam Adora”, he started the phone call, “Are you still running Kendarol Consulting or is it Kendora “, I smiled and almost laughed as he tried to recall Kendor. When we ended the call, it dawned on me that in our distraction-filled, tech-enabled world, it’s not so obvious from the outside what is brewing on the inside.
I don’t write a lot about the details of my day-to-day work. And to be fair, I envisioned this year as a sabbatical of sorts, but even I realise that is far from reality! And before I share what I have been up to, I will take a moment to give honour and glory to God. I do not take it for granted at all, that many businesses come and go, yet amidst tough times and trials, God still finds me worthy to bless.
So, here’s what this year has looked like for me so far:
📊 Training & Capability Building – 6 programmes, 16 days
An early January start on HR data to digital capability to leadership development and learning design programmes. I enjoy helping business leaders and HR professionals strengthen their skills.
👥 Coaching – 14 sessions
Working with mostly executives and start-up founders. I enjoy coaching, there’s nothing like seeing clarity dawn and confidence rise in leaders right in front of you.
🎤 Speaking & Moderating – 9 engagements
From an international keynote and rapid-fire session at a US conference, to summits, roundtables, and career fairs here at home. I love the mix of sharing research and sparking dialogue across different audiences.
🧩 Recruitment & Talent – 9 senior roles
Supporting boards and founders to build strong leadership teams across HR, branding, technical and executive functions. The right hire always changes the game.
🤝 Strategy & Retreats – 4 sessions
Guiding leadership teams through strategy, alignment and culture. These sessions are some of the most energising parts of my work.
✍ Writing & Tools – 13 articles + 2 assessments
Turning research and experience into practical resources for leaders and HR professionals. I love creative work; writing and creating tools that simplify complexity and articles that spark reflection and action.
🎯 HR Bootcamp Conference – ongoing
And of course, planning for the 13th HR Bootcamp Conference in December. This is always a labour of love, working with a team to bring our community together to learn, grow, and look ahead at the future of work.
This leaves out HR advisory and retainership, the proposals written and reviewed, the listening ear conversations had with tens of business leaders, and yes, I went back to school again in June, to learn counselling skills, a subject and skillset I have always wanted to develop.
So yes, I’m still here o, very much so, doing the work I love- helping people and organisations unlock clarity, capability and growth in a changing world of work ✨

When Work Takes You Places
I worked from London this week and I didn't plan to. A phonecall was all it took to change my week's schedule. It was the same way I landed in the US and Kenya and Ghana and Denmark and Gambia and...
