The Adventure Called My Work

My work is an adventure…in my early years, I used to smile in anticipation of it.

In any given week, I never know for sure which organisation I will be working with and who I will be meeting. Even with work planned in advance, I never know what call I will be receiving and what request for proposal will be coming in everyday.

I only know for sure that I will helping a team perform better and in the process learn something myself.

What is good about my work is also what could easily drive anyone nuts!

Unpredictability, tight timelines, sudden deadlines, changing client needs, weekend work, travel.

Thus, my work keeps me mentally stimulated, my brain is always working. Yes, I work on similar issues but every organisation has a unique blend.

Brain work is very tasking…you have to engage, be analytical, supportive and resourceful all at the same time.

All on all, it is the life I have chosen and I am grateful for it all.

It has provided me plenty opportunities to live a decent life.

I have a meaningful career that contributes to a positive difference…and that has always been my desire for the work I do and whom I desire to be, a positive influence.

Would you trade your profession for another? What do you like about your job?

Have a meaningful week.
